Someone in Philippines hung up on me

I paid for the paper on November 10 and its December 7 and I havent received a paper. Im trying for a month to cancel the subscription to no avail! I will see you the news later if this does not get remedy know someone does not return my call. Ive been trying for 30 days

User's recommendation: Not use the news leader in Springfield Missouri. It’s a scam and your paper will not be delivered.

Billing

You keep charging me for premium edition i dont want and a 5 dollar paper fee . i cant keep up on my bill. And the delivery service mostly late .

Want my daily paper 9-6-21 (Labor Day)

In addition to previous comments messaged to you: yesterday and today when l went out to pick up Leader it wasnt here. I looked around the the yard & found various sections had blown over to neighboring areas. Never did find one section of todays newspaper. This has happened because delivery person isnt putting paper in plastic bag something similar. I do understand about finding employees at this time but l deserve much better service.

Poor delivery service

Please call me. 417 887 ****. Please check your mail for my earlier review. Sent you a full review earlier today. You sure make it difficult to reach you by internet. I am not pleased with my News Leader delivery.

No paper today. Have learned since from friend that you have given delivery employees the day off to be with their families. How sweet!! Thought perhaps my delivery person spent lots of time with family as my paper is seldom on my drive early in the morning as it has been in the past. Also never double wrapped during rain. Therefore soaked and unreadable. Several times just no paper. Very expensive for poor service. Kay Watts 1916 S. Camber Avenue Kay Watts

Missed papers

This is an ongoing problem. 2 missed papers this week and now the automatic answering service doesnt work either. Great service

Constant missed deliveries and messed up account

Ever since I began this subscription digital with Thursday and Sunday paper delivery, I have had trouble with the paper delivery not showing up, and it kept getting worse. This was especially frustrating because I had an automatic tip added on to the subscription cost. Each time I called I would be promised that it would not happen again, but within three weeks, there would be another missed delivery. This was compounded by the fact that if I went online into my account, it would show that I owed $29 on the account, even though the subscription cost was debited from my credit card each month. If I tried chatting, I was told to simply pay the $29; but if I called and spoke to someone, I was told that I didn't owe anything and to empty my cache and delete History and it would go away. It did not. Finally, after another missed delivery, I stayed on the phone for almost an hour and a half trying to get the account problem resolved, and they couldn't do it. I was then told that IT would work on it and the manager would call me the next day at a certain time (I think it was 12:30-1:30). Anyway, no one called. When I then tried to go into my account, it recognized me, but wanted me to set up an account again as in a new subscription. Last Thursday, the paper failed to show up again, and I chatted again and requested to cancel the subscription altogether. The rep was very short and said it would be cancelled in two days. They had no trouble cancelling it. However, to my knowledge I received no credit for the remainder of the month.

User's recommendation: Do not set up tipping unless you have good delivery service and consider digital only. Do not trust Gannett for any reliable service.

Fix the problem, so others don't have the same issues. If you say you will call, then CALL. If you say you will fix it, FIX IT.

Missing paper

Over the last 36 weeks I have had to call the dispatch office 27 times to report that I had no paper. I feel that I have been very polite and I understand that mistakes can be made, however, I think that this is getting way out of control. I have been having the paper home delivered for more than a year and they claim that there is no change in the driver status.

Disgust. The pokin article denouncing President was his opinion and belonged on the editorial page. I used to read his column periodically. NO MORE

Pokin was way out of line using his silly column to give his opinion of Trump. At a minimum his column should have been on the editorial page.

Do not trust reps from Springfield News-Leader

A "sales rep" from this local newspaper (which is owned by Gannett) signed me up for a subscription that was supposed to be $12 a month. After 3 months, over $25 was taken out of my bank account, which resulted in a $25 overdraft fee. When I emailed their customer service department, I was informed that the $12/month price was only a 90 day promotional price. I was not informed of this at the time I accepted the subscription, nor was it anywhere on the slip I filled out. I replied to this email with that information and told them to 1) cancel my subcription and 2) make good on that $12 I was told the price would be by refunding the amount over the $12 they charged me and that I expected them to reimburse me that overdraft fee. I never heard back from them and continued to receive the paper. I called (and was on hold for quite some time) and was informed that you couldn't cancel the subscription by email. I let the CSR I spoke to know that I no longer wanted to get this newspaper and that I wanted a refund. According to the CSR, I would receive an email confirmation of this, however, after more than a week I have not heard anything from them and am still receiving the paper. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, who has as of today issued a final request of the newspaper as they have not received a response to the initial complaint. Do not, I repeat, do not subscribe when approached at one of their kiosks or someone going door-to-door. Total rip off company!
